Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY, born on 17 March, 1988), known professionally as Grimes she is a Canadian musician who sings, writes songs, and record producer. [2][3] The range of her earlier music has been called "lo fi R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". In addition, she has used elements of hip hop, electronic and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction as well as feminist themes in the lyrics. Five studio albums were made available by the group. Grimes was raised in Vancouver but later relocated to Montreal. She started her solo career in the late decade. In 2010, she dropped two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. Later, she joined 4AD and gained notoriety when she released her third studio album, Visions, in 2012. Visions features the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and received the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in 2015. A number of publications have rated it one of the greatest albums. In the year 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes is also a judge for Alter Ego, a music contest.
